Owing to participation in this respectable Convention VECTOR’s specialists received plenty of useful information concerning biotechnology development modern trends in the United States and made new contacts with the foreign companies’ representatives.



SRC VB VECTOR’s specialists took part in the Annual International Convention BIO 2004 (San-Francisco, USA) in June, 2004.

Owing to participation in this respectable Convention VECTOR’s specialists received plenty of useful information concerning biotechnology development modern trends in the United States and made new contacts with the foreign companies’ representatives.

Siberian scientists took part in the several workshops and round tables to discuss Russian biotechnology courses of development.

During the negotiations with the CIMIT representatives organized by Jason Rao (Director, BioIndustry Initiative, US Department of State) an agreement about financing opportunities of a number of SRC VB VECTOR’s projects in biomedical research (immunostimulating and anticancer drugs) was reached.

Negotiations with the Dow Chemical Company (San Diego, USA) were devoted to preparation and realization of the collaborative project in new generation vaccines’ development (against influenza and tuberculosis).

Delegates work’s major result was the strengthening of ties and the following collaboration with the US and EC companies, and Russian biotechnology organizations.
